WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK.THE MOTOR IS SOOOO WEAK (25w) THAT IT STALLS OUT WITH THE SLIGHTEST OF HAND PRESSURE.THEREFORE YOU'RE NOT GETTING ALL THE JUICE/PULP OUT OF ANY CITRIS.LIVING IN FLORIDA IT'S MANDATORY THAT YOU HAVE A JUICER THAT WORKS SO BUY ANOTHER --- PLUS I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THIS THING TO GOODWILL SO ANOTHER POOR FELLOW WOULD SURRENDER SOME BUCKS. YOU MIGHT WANT TO TAPE ALL THE PARTS TOGETHER AND USE IT AS A FOOTBALL OR BETTER YET TARGET PRACTICE.
It is also pretty silent so I don't have to worry about waking everyone up in the morning if I want some fresh juice. After dealing with a loud and weak Black & Decker for a year, I decided to give this a try. SO HAPPY WITH IT.The motor is actually strong enough to do the job on its own without having to push hard and squeezes everything out of oranges, grapefruit, lemons, clementines and kiwi. such a relief after the B&D.Sure it could use some extra convenient features like the B&D has (cord wrap, adjustable pulp control, small and large cones, built-in pitcher).but honestly, I will gladly give up those features to have a juicer that does what it's supposed to do.silenty extract the juice from your citrus without your effort.I'm really not sure why people are having problems with the machine's stability.yes, I use two hands to juice, which I always did.why would you need to hold the glass or measuring cup as well. Anyways, I can't really relate to this problem.I would definitely recommend it and packed up my old B&D to donate it to someone who will only juice a couple of times a year and doesn't mind the noise and annoyingly weak motor.I only had this machine for a couple of days and I really hope that it will keep up with my love for freshly squeezed juice every day for a long time.
Well, I have exactly the same problems as other reviewers:1. After our third try, we put up the juicer for sale on Craigslist. Appealed by the trendy design of this juicer, most purchase it in stores. 2. Otherwise, you are wasting our time, money and negatively affecting reputation of this otherwise decent brand. There is not enough space to put a cup to collect the juice.3. To get the juice, you need two people: one to tightly hold the body of the juicer to prevent it from spinning on the countertop and the other to juice the citrus fruit. It is pretty clear that given the negative reviews most people will not buy this product online.
The reversing function kicks in randomly, which often results in a terrible grinding noise. I am afraid to continue juicing for the fear that the machine will break all together. So at this point I am asking Cuisinart manufacturers to fix the flaws of this product or discontinue it. Next time I will be thinking long and hard before purchasing another Cuisinart product.
This is my first review I have ever written on Amazon because I thought folks need to know how bad this juicer is.As others have made reference to, it is nearly impossible to keep this juicer from moving while in use, especially when it auto-reverses, and consequently, I got more orange juice on my counter than I did in the cup. I got this from Bed, Bath and Beyond so it was easy for me to just return it to the store, and I hope no one reading this will have to learn about this juicer the hard way and deal with shipping it back.
I get the feeling that some manufacturers don't even try their products out. This juicer is slow, the clutch slips frequently, the auto stop feature is annoying, the rotation direction reversal feature is really annoying, there is no way to get the juice held in the pulp, etc., etc., etc. You want to pass on this one.
